About H.E.A.R.T.
H.E.A.R.T. (Helping Each Other And Redefining Tomorrow) is a Class II Organization of the Student Government Association, Incorporated, of Montclair State University. The purpose of this organization is for students to come together and participate in community service. H.E.A.R.T. is a philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the lives of others. The members of this organization are committed to helping the young, the elderly, and the environment. H.E.A.R.T. serves numerous communities including Montclair, Lodi, Paterson, Newark, and Jersey City.
What do we do?
Take a look at some of the events that H.E.A.R.T. sponsors/participates in:
"Make a Child Smile":Create cards for terminally-ill children.
"H.E.A.R.T. for Heroes": Help put together care packages for soldiers overseas.
"Light The Night": Join us for a walk through Brookdale Park and help us raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!
"Feed the Homeless": Help H.E.A.R.T. make over 200 lunches for the homeless.
"Trick or Treat for UNICEF": Help us raise money for UNICEF.
"Breast Cancer Awareness": We sell ribbons and lollipops in order to raise money for research!
"Sing Your H.E.A.R.T. Out Karaoke": Our end of the year party. Admission is free, donations accepted for charities.
These are just a few of the events that H.E.A.R.T. is proud to be a part of! H.E.A.R.T. also participates in many walks, bake sales, and other events in order to spread awareness and raise money for various charities. H.E.A.R.T. visits nursing homes, soup kitchens, and food banks during the holidays as well. On campus, we hold food and clothing drives for those less fortunate.
